The 31st annual Verve Cup Offshore Regatta featured three days of offshore buoy racing for a fleet of over 75 yachts. The Ugotta Regatta was hosted by Little Traverse Yacht Club in Harbor Springs, MI on July 29-31. The J/111s were sailing their Great Lakes Championship with 13 boats and five races. The annual CanAm Challenge took place at Youngstown Yacht Club in Youngstown, NY from July 22-24. Four J/111s participated, and five races were completed. Douglas Clarke’s Moneypenny won three races and never placed lower than second for 7 points and the victory. Roeland Polet’s Foreign Exchange came in second with 11 points, including two bullets.
